RICHMOND, Va. - Elon University women's soccer junior Kendall Ballotti was named to the Colonial Athletic Association's All-Conference First Team on Thursday, Nov. 3, as announced by the league office. Additionally, senior Alexis de Groot was named to the CAA All-Academic squad and freshman Taylor Paradoski earned a spot on the All-Rookie team.
 
Ballotti was picked as one of the best defenders in the league after helping the Phoenix post seven shutouts, the third-highest total in the CAA this season. The Long Valley, N.J. native also proved to be a goal scoring threat finishing tied for second on the team with three goals. She also recorded an assist to finish with a season tally of seven points.
 
She becomes the program's first player to earn CAA First Team honors. Ballotti also becomes the first player to earn conference first team accolades since Nicole Dennion and Olivia Mackey were named to the 2013 All-SoCon first team.
 
Alexis de Groot was named to the 10-member CAA Women's Soccer All-Academic Team. The senior from Sandy Springs, Ga. played in 19 matches on the year, making 12 starts. She scored her first-career goal on Sept. 11. She also added an assist against James Madison on Sept. 25. De Groot graduates this year with a degree in sport and event management.
 
Taylor Paradoski finished tied for second on the team in scoring with three goals and earned a spot on the All-Rookie team. The freshman forward notched her first-career goal on Sept. 15 in a 2-0 win over Davidson. She also score twice and has an assist in Elon's 3-0 victory at William & Mary on Oct. 2. Paradoski appeared in 19 matches for the maroon and gold, making nine starts.
