WASHINGTON, D.C. – For the second consecutive season, Elon University women's lacrosse attacker
Stephanie Asher has been named to the watch list for the prestigious Tewaaraton Trophy. The initial list of 50 student-athletes was announced Thursday night, March 1.
Asher is one of two Elon student-athletes in program history to be named to the watch list for the honor. She was also added to the list last March with then-senior goalie Rachel Ramirez.
Following Thursday's game at Rhodes Stadium against High Point, Asher has scored 11 goals while grabbing 12 draw controls to lead the team in both categories. The senior from Glenelg, Md., has scored 151 goals in her career to place seventh on the nation's most prolific active goal scorers list.
Elon will be back in action on Sunday, March 4, to continue its three-game homestand against Stanford. Opening draw is set for noon and the game will be broadcast on Phoenix All-Access.
