RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University men's tennis swept the weekly Colonial Athletic Association honors Tuesday, March 27, with Jacob Bicknell earning Player of the Week and Neal Port and Mario Paccini taking Doubles Team of the Week.
 
In his first two matches since early February, Bicknell took a pair of hard-fought victories at No. 6 singles over opponents from Coastal Carolina and USC Upstate. First against the Chanticleers, Bicknell topped Francesco Cori-Gamero 6-4, 6-4 to help Elon to a 6-1 road win in Conway, S.C. Two days later against the Spartans, Bicknell defeated Lucas Percy 6-3, 7-5 to help Elon overcome a doubles deficit and move on to a 5-2 victory at USC Upstate.
 
Rolling along in doubles action, Port and Paccini picked up their third- and fourth-straight victories at No. 1 with a pair of 6-1 wins. First against Coastal Carolina, Paul Boulay and Lawrence Perrin fell victim to Port and Paccini before the Phoenix duo earned Elon's only doubles win with a victory over Ankush Arora and Francisco Neto.
 
Elon will return to action Wednesday afternoon, March 28, with a 3 p.m. match against Davidson at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
