Lukjanczuk Joins Elon Athletic Training Staff

ELON, N.C. -- Elon University Athletics today announced that A.J. Lukjanczuk has been named as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Lukjanczuk's primary responsibility will be to serve as the certified athletic trainer for the Phoenix football program.

A 2002 Elon graduate with a degree in athletic training, Lukjanczuk returns to his alma mater after serving as an assistant athletic trainer for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe where he assisted in the prevention, assessment and rehabilitation of injured players. He has also served as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer with the NFL's New York Jets. Prior to his work with the Jets, Lukjanczuk acted as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Northwestern State University (La.) where he oversaw the daily responsibilities for the men's basketball, women's soccer and indoor and outdoor track teams.

Lukjanczuk earned a master's of education degree with an emphasis on sports administration from Northwestern State in 2004. He is accredited in CPR, First Aid and AED. He also holds a professional membership in the National Athletic Trainers Association.
