ELON, N.C. – The Phoenix Club will once again host ‘The Night of the Phoenix' featuring Giovanni Livera as a fundraising event on Friday, February 19, 2010. The event, held in Alumni Gymnasium on Elon’s campus, will begin with a social hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner with a silent auction being held throughout the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Phoenix Club in support of student-athlete scholarships and will count towards 2009-10 fundraising efforts.

"We are really looking forward to another amazing night in support of Elon student-athletes and the athletic program," said Associate Director of Athletics Brian Tracy. "We have been able to surpass expectations each year and create a great event that people look forward to attending again as soon as the event ends. There will be great silent auction items to bid on all night long and the opportunity to interact with fellow supporters of the program makes for a special evening. We feel Giovanni Livera will provide us with an excellent show as we strive to increase scholarship resources for our student-athletes.”

Livera has worked with over half of the Fortune 500 companies, is an International Brotherhood of Magician’s World Champion and has recently been inducted into the Speakers Hall of Fame. He is the author of three books including his latest work, titled Live a Thousand Years, Have the Time of Your Life.
