• The Phoenix wraps up its six-game road swing with a trip to Chapel Hill to take on North Carolina on April 20 at 7 p.m. Last year, Elon claimed a 1-0 win over 20th-ranked UNC at East Field behind #Erin O’Shea#’s complete game five-hit shutout performance. Elon’s lone run came in the third inning via a solo home run over the fence in center field from
Tomeka Watson.
• Rookie
Carleigh Nester extended her hitting streak to six games after going 1-for-3 with a solo home run on the first pitch of the game against Samford on Sunday, April 17.
• Elon head coach
Patti Raduenz is only three wins away from passing Sue Leonard for the most victories in program history. In her 11th season, Raduenz has accumulated 267 career wins.
Men's Tennis (17-6, 9-1 SoCon)
Elon at SoCon Championship; April 20-23; Chattanooga, Tenn.
• With a 6-1 victory at Appalachian State this past week, Elon clinched a share of the regular-season Southern Conference title, its first league crown since 2007.
• Elon earned the top seed in the Southern Conference Tournament and will play the winner of Georgia Southern vs. Chattanooga on Thursday, April 21 at 1 p.m.
• The Phoenix will be looking for its fifth consecutive appearance in the conference tournament title match. Elon has finished as the runner-up in the past three championship matches.
Women's Tennis 11-10 (5-5 SoCon)
No. 6 seed Elon vs. No. 11 seed at Southern Conference Women's Tennis Tournament, Wednesday, April 20, at 10 a.m., Chattanooga, Tenn.
• Elon earned a 6-1 win over SCAD-Atlanta last Friday to finish the regular season with a winning 11-10 record.
• The Phoenix has earned the sixth seed in the Southern Conference Women's Tennis Tournament and will play the tournament's 11th seed, which is yet to be determined.
• If Elon wins its match in the first round, the Phoenix will move on to play third-seeded Furman on Thursday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m.
Outdoor Track and Field
Elon at Southern Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Friday, April 22 - Saturday, April 23, Birmingham, Ala.
• Elon earned two titles over the weekend at the Kent Taylor - Joe Hilton Invitational hosted on the campus of UNC.

Amy Salek won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.43, while
Veronica Luedke earned a title in the 400-meter hurdles after posting a time of 1:02.42.

Brittany Wilkins set a new school record in the long jump after a mark of 19'3.5". She took fourth overall in the event.
• The Phoenix will look to improve upon its third-place finish at the 2010 SoCon Outdoor Track and Field Championships, its best-ever finish to date, this weekend in Birmingham, Ala.
Men's Golf
Elon at SoCon Championship, Sunday-Tuesday, April 17-19, Florence, S.C.
• After Sunday's first round, the Phoenix sits ninth in the tournament standings.
• Individually, Elon's
Stephen Dressel finished the first round in a tie for fourth by shooting a two-under 70.
• Elon placed fourth at last year's SoCon Championship which was bolstered by Dressel's fifth-place individual finish.
Women's Golf

• Elon concluded Sunday's opening round in fifth place after shooting a 321.
• Playing in her first SoCon Championship, Martyna Mierzwa carded a three-over 75 on Sunday and is tied for second individually.

Diana Davis, the Phoenix finished sixth at the 2010 SoCon Championship.
Baseball (24-13, 14-4 SoCon)

Elon vs. Old Dominion, Wednesday, April 20 at 6 p.m., Elon, N.C.
Elon at Georgia Southern, Friday-Sunday, April 22-24 at 7/2:30/1:30 p.m., Statesboro, Ga.
• Elon won two of its three games against College of Charleston over the weekend, marking just the second series that the Phoenix has taken from the Cougars since joining the SoCon.
• Senior pitcher
Thomas Girdwood became the program's all-time leader in appearances when he came into the game for the 96th time in his career on Sunday. Girdwood surpassed the mark of 95 set by Kevin Regan between 2003-06.
• Skipper
Mike Kennedy, already Elon's all-time leader in victories, is just two wins shy of 500 for his career.
• This week Elon will play host to both High Point and Old Dominion to cap an eight-game homestand before visiting Georgia Southern for a SoCon series that will pit the top two teams in the league against each other.
• All-time Elon is 119-79 against High Point, 4-1 vs. Old Dominion and 14-14 against Georgia Southern.
