Elon Phoenix Classic

ELON, N.C. – The Elon volleyball team (9-3) is ready for its annual home tournament – the Elon Phoenix Classic. The tournament will run Friday – Saturday, Sept. 16 -17, inside Alumni Gym with match-ups against Campbell (4-8), North Carolina Central (0-8) and Winthrop (5-5).
 
Elon is riding a three-match winning streak after going 2-1 last weekend at the Butler Invitational in Indianapolis and sweeping High Point on Tuesday. The Phoenix also boasts the reigning Southern Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week in freshman Chanelle Smith and junior Ali Deatsch.
 
The Phoenix will play Campbell on Friday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. and N.C. Central and Winthrop the following day, Sept. 17, at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. Click here for the full tournament schedule.
