DALLAS – Elon University Director of Athletics Dave Blank received the 2015-16 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) FCS Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year Award on Wednesday, June 15. Blank was one of five athletic directors at the FCS level recognized at the James J. Corbett Awards Luncheon at the Hilton Anatole hotel during NACDA's annual convention.
 
Blank recently concluded his 10th year as director of athletics at Elon. During his tenure, Blank has ignited ambitious expansions in the athletic department – including a restructuring of the Phoenix Club with emphasis on funding scholarships for student-athletes – as well as enhancements in academic progress, facility upgrades, marketing and fundraising. Blank was recently named to the NCAA Division I Baseball Selection Committee. He will be a part of the 10-person committee that selects the annual 64-school tournament field. His four-year tenure on the committee begins on Sept. 1, 2016, and continues through Aug. 31, 2020.
 
NACDA, now in its 51st year, is the professional and educational Association for more than 15,700 college athletics administrators at more than 1,700 institutions throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.  More than 5,500 athletics administrators annually attend NACDA & Affiliates Convention Week.
