Baseball (20-24, 10-8 CAA)
Elon vs. UNCG, Tuesday, May 2, 6 p.m., Latham Park
Elon at Hofstra, Friday-Sunday, May 5-7, 3/1/1 p.m., Hempstead, N.Y.
• The Phoenix scored three ninth-inning runs at College of Charleston on Sunday to pull out a 6-4 victory as the Phoenix went 1-2 over the weekend.
• Elon entered the weekend ranked 22nd nationally with 87 doubles. The Phoenix added five move over the weekend at Charleston to sit at 92 with 11 regular season games remaining. The program record for doubles is 137 in 2009.
• The final home mid-week game for the maroon and gold will be played on Tuesday. Elon will welcome UNCG to Latham Park and look to avenge an early-season loss to the Spartans. The Phoenix will then return to league play with a three-game set at Hofstra.
Softball (32-18, 9-8 CAA)
Elon at No. 14 James Madison, Friday-Saturday, May 5-6, 2:30/4:30/1 p.m., Harrisonburg, Va.
• Elon closes out its regular season this week with a three-game CAA set at No. 14 James Madison on Friday and Saturday.
• The Phoenix closed out its home schedule last weekend by winning two of three versus Delaware to improve to 9-8 in the CAA standing and its hold for the fifth and final spot for the CAA Tournament. Elon closed out the series with a 1-0 win in the rubber match over the Blue Hens which gave head coach
Kathy Bocock 395 victories over her career.
• Senior Carey Million tied the program's single-season RBI record with her 47th last Saturday against the Blue Hens. Junior pitcher Kiandra Mitchum set a new program Division I single-season record for wins with her 18th over Delaware on Sunday, April 30.
Women's Lacrosse (12-5, 4-2 CAA)
CAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament
No. 3 Elon at No. 2 Towson, Friday, May 5, 6:30 p.m., Towson, Md.
CAA Finals, Sunday, May 7, 1 p.m., Towson, Md.
• Having qualified for the CAA Tournament for the second consecutive season, Elon will battle Towson on Friday, May 5, in Semifinal No. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md.
• Elon capped the regular season with a dominating 18-4 win over William & Mary in Virginia. Though it fell behind 3-1 in the early going, Elon scored 15 unanswered goals in cruising to the 14-goal win, the largest CAA win in program history.
• Abby Godfrey paced the Phoenix with a career-high four goals. Stephanie Asher and Shelby Scanlin each scored three times while Sloane Kessler added two. Melanie McHugh had a career day on defense, taking new career marks with five ground balls and seven caused turnovers to go with a draw control.
• During the regular season, Elon dropped a 19-7 decision to the Tigers in Maryland back on April 9. That marks the last time Elon dropped a game, as it enters the CAA Tournament on a four-game winning streak.
Women's Track and Field
Elon at CAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Friday-Saturday, May 5-6, Newark, Del.
• The two-time defending CAA champion Phoenix heads to the league outdoor championship meet this Friday and Saturday at the University of Delaware. Last season, Elon scored 193 points at the CAA meet on its home track at the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex.
• Heading into the meet, the maroon and gold have four athlete who have previously earned CAA individual championships in Emily Dixon (heptathlon), Jayna Coyle (triple jump), Bryanna Hames (discus) and Kimberly Johansen (800 and 1,500-meters).
• Elon also returns 10 athletes from last year's team that received All-CAA honors at the 2016 CAA Championships.
