• Elon will close the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 17, with a trip to Orono, Maine, to take on the Black Bears at 12 p.m. inside Alfond Stadium. 
• At 6-3 and 4-2 in CAA Football, Elon is alive and well for a playoff berth. First-round games are set for Saturday, Nov. 24, at select sites across the FCS. Following Saturday's conclusion to the regular season, Selection Sunday comes Nov. 18 with the FCS Selection Show taking place at 12:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
• Looking for its first perfect home regular season, Elon dropped its Senior Day matchup to No. 20 Towson over the weekend even though rookie Cole Coleman had a career-high 12 tackles on the day.   
 
Cross Country
Season complete.
• The Elon University cross country programs closed out the 2018 campaign at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships Friday, Nov. 9, in Rock Hill, S.C. The Phoenix men finished 19th overall at the meet with 520 points and had a nine-spot improvement over last year's regional finish. The Elon women came in 22nd overall at the meet with 598 points.
• Nick Ciolkowski concluded his Elon career as the top finisher for the maroon and gold male harriers as the Fairport, N.Y., native was 49th overall and clocked a time of 31:15.5 in the 10K race. Three other runners for the Phoenix men set new personal-records at the meet, including freshman Andrew Miller with his time of 31:55.8 – the fourth-fastest time in school history. Michael Germinario also broke into the program's top-10 performance list with his time of 32:27.4.
• Melissa Anastasakis was the top overall finisher for the Phoenix women, as the Hillsdale, Ontario, native was 79th overall with her new personal-best time of 21:36.0 – breaking into the program's top-10 performance list.
        
Men's Basketball (1-1, 0-0 CAA)

• The Phoenix opened up its 2018-19 season with a road contest at Manhattan and the inaugural men's basketball game in Schar Center against the No. 7-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels. 
• Elon picked up its first win of the year with a 62-56 win at Manhattan on Tuesday, Nov. 6, to open the college basketball season. Tyler Seibring finished with game highs of 17 points and eight rebounds.
• In front of a sold-out crowd of 5,245, Elon made history hosting No. 7 North Carolina in its first regular season men's basketball game inside Schar Center and the game was televised nationally on ESPNU. The Tar Heels came out on top with the victory over the Phoenix.
• The Phoenix is back in action with one game this week on Thursday, Nov. 15, against Milligan College at 7 p.m. inside Schar Center.
 
Women's Basketball (0-1, 0-0 CAA)

• The Elon women's basketball team begins a three-game road swing with a couple of visits to Durham, N.C., this week versus North Carolina Central and No. 21 Duke.
• The Phoenix opened its 2018-19 campaign last Tuesday, Nov. 6, versus the North Carolina Tar Heels in its new facility at Schar Center. The maroon and gold set a new program attendance record at the contest with 1,622 fans on hand.
• Freshman Kayla Liles led the Phoenix in the contest with 14 points against the Tar Heels while also adding three steals to her stat line. Lexi Mercer added 12 points for the Phoenix.
         
Volleyball (13-15, 4-12 CAA)
Season complete.
• Elon volleyball finished its 2018 season on Sunday, Nov. 11, as the Phoenix fell in straight sets to College of Charleston. The team ends the season 13-15 overall and 4-12 in league play.
• The match marked Senior Day for the maroon and gold. The team recognized seniors Alexa Pavlick, Erin Kelly, Maddie Jaudon, Kam Terry, and team practice player Max Pivonka before opening serve.
• Terry scored four kills against the Cougars to finish with 1,346 in her time as a Phoenix. Her total ranks sixth on Elon's career scorer's list. Jaudon also surpassed 1,900 career digs on the day. She ends her time at Elon with 1,908, good for third-most in program history.
