• Elon went 2-2 last week and won two of its first three CAA games at James Madison over the weekend to move to 13-11 on the season.
• In Saturday's win over JMU, sophomore George Kirby recorded the 100th strikeout of his career while throwing a career-long 7.2 innings. He struck out four in the victory. Kirby is now 4-1 on the year and has won four straight decisions.
• The Phoenix has hit 17 home runs this season. Those 17 dingers have come from 11 different players. Four players have hit the first homers of their career – Mike Borucki, Tyler Stanley, Garrett Stonehouse and most recently Matt Oldham.

• The Phoenix completed the first two rounds of the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday, March 25, at the Country Club of Landfall.
• William Harwood paced Elon through 36 holes and is tied for 23rd on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 148 ( 2) on Sunday.
• After finishing competition in Wilmington, N.C., this week, Elon returns to the links next week, Monday-Tuesday, April 2-3, at the ECU Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C.

• Elon picked up a pair of victories last week at Coastal Carolina and USC Upstate to push its winning streak to six in a row to stand 11-5 with six matches remaining in the regular season.
• Now a winner of eight of its last nine matches, Elon enters a stretch in which three of its next four matches are on the road. But first, the Phoenix will welcome Davidson to the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Wednesday, March 28, for a 3 p.m. match
• Mario Paccini has been on a roll in singles action, winning each of his last six decisions while tying for the team lead with 10 wins. Felipe Osses-Konig and Felipe Sarrasague both also have 10 singles victories to help pace the Phoenix, which has gone 60-36 in singles action this spring season.

• The Phoenix will have a four-game slate this week with a visit to longtime rival North Carolina A&T on Tuesday, March 27, before hosting Hofstra for its second Colonial Athletic Association series of the year this weekend.
• Elon earned a series victory over College of Charleston by going 2-1 over the weekend in its CAA series opener. The Phoenix won the first two games of the three-game set to clinch the series.
• Senior Kara Shutt broke the program's all-time career doubles record versus the Cougars on Sunday, March 26, collecting the 52nd of her career to move by Carleigh Nester '14 on the team's all-time list. Shutt also needs one hit to tie Nester for fifth all-time on Elon's all-time career hit list, as she sits with 220 so far for her career.
       
Women's Golf

• After nearly three weeks off, the Phoenix returned to the links with a solid first round at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia State. In Sunday's opening round, the maroon and gold shot a 309 and is tied for fourth out of the 17 teams in the field.
• Leading the way for Elon was Hilda Kristjansdottir, who ended Sunday's opening round with a two-over 74 to sit in a tie for fourth out of 89 players in the field.
• The Phoenix will play its second tournament of the week beginning next Sunday, April 1. Elon will be a part of the field of the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State.
 
Women's Lacrosse (1-8, 0-0 CAA)
Not in competition this week.
• Elon and No. 16 Virginia Tech went toe to toe Saturday, March 24, at Rudd Field, but a late 3-0 run from the Hokies broke an 11-11 tie and gave Virginia Tech the 14-12 victory. 
• Playing in her first game since Feb. 17 at Virginia, Kelsey Dupere scored once and had two assists for three points. The senior from Raleigh, N.C., also picked up two ground balls in her return. 
• Stephanie Asher picked up a game-high nine draw controls. She has now collected 19 draws in the last two games with both totals finishing as the two highest marks in a game in program history. Before her nine draw controls against Virginia Tech, the senior had 10 at Coastal Carolina on Sunday, March 18, to break the previous record that was set back in 2014. 
 
Women's Track & Field
Elon at Raleigh Relays | Friday-Saturday, March 30-31 | Raleigh, N.C.
• The Phoenix will compete in its third outdoor meet of the season this weekend when select members of the team compete at the Raleigh Relays at NC State this week.
• Elon last competed at the Winthrop adidas Invitational over the weekend. The Phoenix saw several members of its squad set new personal-records at the meet while also moving up the program's all-time performance list. Skylar Barthelmes moved to third on the program's all-time list in the hammer throw with a toss of 170' 10" (52.06m) and was fourth overall last Friday, March 23. 
• The Phoenix holds the top spot on the Colonial Athletic Association outdoor performance list in the 10,000-meters, the 4x400-meter relay and the discus throw. Additionally, Elon also has athletes ranked in the Top 3 of six other events in the CAA.
 
Women's Tennis (10-9)
Elon at UNCG | Wednesday, March 28 | 2:30 p.m. | Greensboro, N.C.

• Elon bounced back with a pair of victories during its doubleheader sweep on Thursday, March 22. Erica Braschi moved into third on the program's all-time dual match singles win list, increasing her career total to 57 victories.
• Head coach Elizabeth Anderson currently has 195 career victories and is now just five away from reaching 200 in her career as a head coach. 
• With the victory over Winston-Salem State on Thursday afternoon, the Phoenix improved its home record to 7-3 this season. Elon is a combined 21-5 overall at home over the past two seasons.
• The Phoenix begins a three-match road swing on Wednesday, March 28, with a trip to face Triad rival UNCG. Elon will then head to South Carolina on Saturday, March 31, to face College of Charleston.
