• Sophomore pitcher Kyle Brnovich rocketed up the program's single-season strikeout list after fanning 14 hitters in a victory over Hartford on Friday night. Brnovich ended the night with 111 strikeouts on the season, climbing to second on the program's chart, and just two shy of matching Steven Hensley's team record for a year. Brnovich also rates 10th on Elon's all-time career strikeout list with 214, one shy of tying for ninth with Kyle Webb. Brnovich is the only player in the history of the program to have multiple 100-strikeout seasons.
• For the second time this season, Elon allowed three runs or fewer during a three-game series as the Hartford Hawks managed just three runs on the weekend. In March, the Phoenix surrendered just two runs in a three-game sweep of Appalachian State.
• The Phoenix has won eight straight games, its longest winning streak since claiming nine consecutive victories in 2009.

• Elon closed the season winning 11 of its final 14 matches. The team has now been to at least its conference tournament semifinals in each of the last six seasons going back to 2013, but has not been able to break through to a final since winning the 2014 Southern Conference title.

Melissa Birdsell and Kelsey Dupere also recorded hat tricks for the first time this season against the Dragons to help Elon to a season-high 18 goals in Philadelphia on Sunday.

• Elon hosted the CAA Tennis Championships for the third consecutive season last week, April 19-22, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center and Burlington Tennis Center.
• After picking up a 4-0 sweep of Drexel in the quarterfinals on Friday in Burlington, Elon's upset bid against No. 41-ranked William & Mary fell short in a 4-2 defeat in Saturday's semifinals. The Phoenix won an epic doubles point to take the early 1-0 lead with all three courts playing simultaneous tiebreakers and Elon held a 2-1 lead before falling to the Tribe in a close singles competition.
Elizabeth Anderson sits on 199 career wins to end her 14th season at the helm as head coach of the women's tennis program. Anderson has led the Phoenix to 14 or more wins in seven straight seasons.
