• Elon opens the month of October with a trip to New Hampshire on Saturday, Oct. 5, for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff against the Wildcats.
• The game, while homecoming for UNH, marks a homecoming of sorts for head coach Tony Trisciani. A New Hampshire native, Trisciani served six seasons on the New Hampshire coaching staff spanning two stints from 1998-99 and 2001-04.
• Saturday's game will air live on FloSports. It can also be watched live regionally on NBC Sports Boston.

• The Phoenix competed last Friday, Sept. 27, at the UVA Panorama Farms Invitational for its third meet of the season. The Elon women earned a fourth-place standing at the meet with 143 points while the maroon and gold men were 14th overall.
• Senior Scolasticah Kemei set a new school-record in the women's 6K as the Eldoret, Kenya, native ran a time of 20:44 at the meet and finished sixth overall. Freshman Maria Ahm was the next runner to cross the line for the Phoenix with a 21st-place standing and her time of 21:24.2 and breaking into the program's top-10 performance list.
• Andrew Miller led the Phoenix men for the third straight race. The sophomore clocked a time of 25:24.3 and was 56th overall at the meet.

• Elon men's golf tied for sixth at the Golfweek Program Challenge on Sept. 9-10. The field played at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club on Pawley's Island, S.C.
• The Phoenix shot an 11-over par 291 in the final round to post a combined two-day total of 848, finishing even with UNCW. Graham Hutchinson paced the maroon and gold, recording an even par-70 in the final round to tie for sixth with a six-under 204. Max Ferrari tied for 13th and came in a stroke under par at 209.
• The team will head to Raleigh, N.C. this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5-6 to play in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate, NC State's annual home fall tournament. The tournament will be held at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.

• Elon plays Drexel in its lone game of the week on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Rudd Field. The match will give away soccer scarves for the first 100 Elon students at the match.
• The Phoenix went 1-1 last week in its contests with a victory coming against longtime Triad rival UNCG last Wednesday, Sept. 25. Rookie Burl Shepherd scored two goals in the match for the Phoenix in its 3-0 victory over the Spartans. The brace was the first two goals of Shepherd's career.
• Elon also had another two-goal performance from senior Iñigo Bronte at Delaware last Saturday, Sept. 28. It was the third multi-goal match of Bronte's career at Elon as the Pamplona, Spain, native leads the Phoenix in goals scored this season with three.

• The Phoenix opened its fall season at the Liberty Invitational on Sept. 13-15.
• Camilo Ponce defeated two-seed Goncalo Ferreira of Liberty before falling to eventual champion Diego Marques of ECU in the semifinals of the Red Singles draw.
• Kyle Frankel also made it to the semifinals in the same flight to match Ponce's record on the weekend (2-1).
• In doubles play, Ponce and Dino Bonnetta made it to the semifinals of the White Doubles draw after recording a 6-3 win over Virginia Tech's Michael Shepheard and Chase Bernstine.
• The Phoenix will next compete at the UNCG Invitational on Oct. 12 and 13.

• Elon women's golf finished third at its inaugural Elon Invitational last Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 23-24, at Alamance Country Club.
• Adel Vadkerti birdied holes three, four, and five early on day two to post her best round of the tournament with a three-under par 68. The junior finished tied for sixth overall with an even 213.
• As a team, the Phoenix combined for a three-round total of 879 (+27).
• The maroon and gold will head south to Glencoe, Ala. next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7-8 to compete in the Chris Banister Golf Classic, hosted by Jacksonville State at Silver Lakes Golf Course.

• The Phoenix continues conference play this week by hosting William & Mary for a Thursday night matchup at Rudd Field in Elon, N.C. The game will take place on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
• Elon currently sits in of the Coastal Athletic Association conference in multiple categories so far this season. The Phoenix ranks first in the CAA in goals scored (27), goal differential (+11), and ranks third in overall winning percentage (.682).
• William & Mary enters its second season under head coach Julie Shackford, and currently sit at 3-6-2 on the season with a 1-0-1 record in CAA play.
• In its most recent outing, William & Mary tied James Madison 2-2 to move to 3-6-2 on the year. Alex Kuhnle leads the team in goals with four and points with nine.
• Drexel is in the midst of its 23rd season under the watchful eye of head coach Ray Goon. The Dragons are off to a 4-5-2 start this season, including a 0-2-0 record in conference play.
• In its most recent outing, Drexel suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the College of Charleston. Lauren Currey leads the team in goals (4), assists (3) and total points (11).

• The Phoenix will host the Jimmy Powell Invitational over the weekend, marking the second tournament Elon has hosted this fall season.
•The last time Elon was in action, Alex Koniaev and Uma Nayar took home the doubles crown in the Maroon Doubles flight of the Elon Fall Invitational. The duo combined to defeat ETSU's Andrew Pascual and Maria Carvajal 6-0 in the finals.
• Olivia Archer and Sofia Edo also won their respective doubles title at the Elon Fall Invitational, defeating NCCU's Miller and Pena to win the Powell Doubles bracket crown.

• Elon opened conference play last weekend with wins over Hofstra and Northeastern. The Phoenix (7-8, 2-0) defeated the defending CAA champion Pride 3-1 on Friday, Sept. 27, then followed that performance with a 3-2 comeback victory over the Huskies on Sunday, Sept. 29.
• The 2-0 start to league play is Elon's best since joining the CAA. The maroon and gold is currently tied with Towson atop the conference standings entering this weekend.
• Leah Daniel earned CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday, marking her first career weekly honor. The sophomore out of Zionsville, Ind. hit .239 through the two matches and tallied 35 kills (3.89/set) with two service aces, nine digs, five blocks (one solo), and 40.0 points. Additionally, she surpassed 400 career kills and has now reached double-digit kills in 10 consecutive matches.
• The Phoenix continues CAA play this weekend with a pair of road matches at Charleston and UNCW. The Cougars (3-10, 0-1) will host Elon for a 7 p.m. match this Friday, Oct. 4. Elon then heads north to Wilmington, N.C. for a 1 p.m. meeting with the Seahawks (10-5, 0-2) on Sunday, Oct. 6.
