THE MATCHUP
-This will be the 14
th meeting between the two teams. Elon leads the overall series 10-3.
-The Phoenix downed the Pride in the teams' last meeting on Jan. 19, 69-56.
ABOUT ELON
-Elon recorded its second regular-season sweep of its 2019-20 campaign on Sunday, Feb. 9 when it defeated Charleston for the 13
th consecutive time, 85-57.
Saadia Munford led both teams with 19 points, followed by Ariel Colón (16) and
Jada Graves (13).
-The CAA announced in its preseason poll that the Phoenix was picked eighth, earning 28 points. James Madison was named the favorite, totaling 81 points and nine first-place votes.
-Elon is led by ninth year head coach
Charlotte Smith, who led the Phoenix to two consecutive CAA Championship titles in 2017 and 2018.
LOOKING AHEAD
-Including Friday's game, Elon has seven games remaining in its regular-season schedule.

SCOUTING HOFSTRA
-The Pride (3-19, 0-11 CAA) enters the contest on a 13-game losing streak.
-Hofstra recorded 77-67 loss to Delaware on Sunday, Feb. 9. Ana Hernandez Gil led the Pride with 14 points, while Jaylen Hines, Marianne Kalin, and JaKayla Brown chipped in 11 points apiece.
-Hofstra was predicted to place tenth in the CAA Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Phoenix hosts Northeastern in its annual Play4Kay game on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. The athletic department will also retire Venessa Corbett's jersey prior to the start of the game.
