WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Elon University volleyball continues its road stretch with a trip to Williamsburg, Va. this weekend for a pair of CAA matches at William & Mary. The teams are set to play a 6 p.m. contest on Saturday and again at 3 p.m. on Sunday, with both matches to be played at Kaplan Arena.

ABOUT THE PHOENIX
- The Phoenix (13-9, 8-4 CAA) was on the wrong end of a five-set battle this past Saturday at Northeastern. The Huskies then defeated the maroon and gold in three sets on Sunday.
- It was the first CAA series loss of the season for Elon. The team earned sweeps of Charleston, Delaware and UNCW and split its series versus Towson and James Madison.
- Elon is now fourth in the CAA standings. Towson, JMU and Northeastern are all ahead of the Phoenix at 7-3 in conference play.
- Through games on Oct. 28, Elon ranks second in the CAA with 11.59 assists per set and a .245 hitting percentage. The Phoenix is also third in kills per set (12.60), win-loss percentage (.591) and team assists (904).

Leah Daniel ranks first in the league in attacks per set (10.55), kills per set (4.06), points (345.5), points per set (4.43) and total kills 317). She is also second in totals attacks with 823.

Haylie Clark leads the CAA with 746 total assists and is second with 9.56 assists per set.
Jordan Gower is second in the conference with 4.29 digs per set and third with 335 total digs, and
Jenn Krzeminski ranks second in the league with 89 total blocks.
CAREER LEADERS WATCHLIST
- Daniel now owns 1,166 career kills.
- She is one kill away from tying Laura Griffin (1999-02) for ninth on Elon's all-time leaders list.
- Velma Degree (1990-93) is Elon's all-time leader in kills with 1,461.
THE SERIES
- Elon is ahead in the all-time series, 11-7.
- William & Mary hosted Elon for two matches back on Feb. 26-27 during the shortened 2021 spring season, with the Tribe earning a pair of 3-1 victories.
- In the first match, Daniel hit for .442 with a team-high 20 kills. Clark and
Gabi Croll followed with eight kills each, while
Kodi Garcia and Clark combined for 35 assists. Gower ended up with 21 digs and
Natalie Cummins and Krzeminski recorded two blocks each.
- The second match saw Clark record her first career triple double with 21 assists, 15 digs and 12 kills. Daniel again paced the attack with 24 kills, Garcia contributed 23 assists, and
Alex VanWestrienen served two aces. On the other side of the net, VanWestrienen and Gower both reached double-digit digs with 12 each and Krzeminski tallied three blocks.
SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY
- W&M was picked to finish ninth in the CAA Preseason Coaches' Poll with 14 points and Julia Brown was selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
- The Tribe (3-12, 0-10) opened its season with a pair of 3-0 wins over Western Illinois on Aug. 27 and Air Force on Aug. 28. The team's other win came at home against Hampton on Sept. 10.
- W&M is in search of its first conference win and is looking to snap a 10-match skid. The Tribe hosted Towson last Friday and Saturday, falling to the Tigers 3-1 and 3-0.
- Brown and Lauren Merrill pace the Tribe's attack with 161 and 102 kills, respectively. Amy Schwem is the primary setter with 347 assists, Kate Van Houten follows with 141 assists, Anna Porter has served 16 aces and Sabrina Malcolm 10 aces. On defense, Porter owns a team-high 179 digs while Anne Louise Seekford is approaching triple digits with 98 digs. At the net, Brown has recorded 45 blocks and Malcolm is right behind her with 44.
