March 23 Update – Because the recent governor's Executive Order did not remove the requirement for social distancing of 6 feet between groups, Elon's attendance capacities are unchanged. All of Elon's facilities are set up to allow the maximum number of spectators while adhering to social distancing guidelines as well as the assigned seating requirement. Additional updates will be posted as orders change.
Elon, NC - Elon Athletics updated their limited attendance plan for the 2021 Spring sports season, including sports that traditionally take place in the fall season.
Elon Athletics will have reduced attendance in Hunt Park, Latham Park and Rudd Stadium in accordance with state and local guidelines. Attendance will be limited to Elon students, faculty, staff and a player-family list for Elon student-athletes as available. Family seating will consist of socially distanced groups, while student, faculty and staff seating will be individualized and in accordance with campus seating guidelines. All in attendance are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing throughout the venue. In addition, concessions offerings be limited or unavailable.
Student-athletes' family members will enter via a pass list at the main entrances, while students, faculty, and staff will show their Phoenix Card to gain complimentary admission. Due to attendance limits, there will be no seating for members of the general public until social distancing restrictions are lifted.
Volleyball matches in Schar Center will be limited to student-athlete family members in socially distanced groups.
Football will continue to have socially distanced tickets available on a game-by-game basis. Season ticket holders from 2019 and Phoenix Club members will have priority for these tickets. If available, the general public will have the chance to purchase in the days leading up to the game.
