ELON, N.C. -Â Elon University women's tennis fell to Charlotte, 6-1, on Friday, March 5. It was the Phoenix's first loss since Feb. 13, against Wake Forest and snapped a five-match winning streak.
HIGHLIGHTS
-Â Elon was led by sophomore
Shauna Galvin, who defeated Emma Scott 6-1, 6-2 in straight sets. With the win, Galvin has won six-straight singles matches and moved to 4-0 in the No. 5 slot.

Alison O'Dea was defeated by Jenna Dean 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 in three sets. Despite the loss, O'Dea remained 4-1 in the No. 6 singles slot this season.

Sofia Edo battled, but came up just short against Emma Wilkins 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 in three sets.
UP NEXT
The Phoenix will be back in action on Friday, March 12, when it hosts Towson at 2 p.m. at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Elon's campus.
