RICHMOND, Va. - Elon University women's tennis fell to VCU, 7-0, on Thursday, Jan. 27, in Richmond, Va.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The combination of Julie Ball and Victoria Saldh picked up the lone victory of the day for the Phoenix, defeating Anja Draskovic and Paola Diaz Delgado 6-2 on Court 2. The win also marked the first of the season for the duo.
- Olivia Archer dropped a close finish in No. 6 singles, falling to Shivani Manjanna 10-7 in a third-set tie breaker. Archer won the first set 6-3 before losing the second set 7-5 to set up the decisive third set.
- Sibel Tanik was defeated by No. 61 ranked Diaz Delgado in No. 1 singles (6-3, 6-2).
- VCU took the doubles point with wins on Courts 1 and 3, before clinching the match in No. 2 singles.
