Chloe Hatzopoulos Bio

How old were you and how did you get into the game of softball?

I was five years old when I began playing softball. My dad and one of his friends decided to start a t-ball team and thought it would be something fun to try.

What is it about the sport that you enjoy the most?

The part I enjoy about softball the most is moments like the UNC game. The feeling of success after giving it your all is what we work for every day. Being able to be a part of such a great team has been a dream come true.

What was the transition coming from high school to college?

Properly managing my time between academics, softball and conditioning. I love the structured environment. It allows me to maximize my time.

The moment I visited Elon, I instantly knew it was where I belong. The softball program, awesome coaching staff and players, small class sizes, great academics and a beautiful campus are all that I need. I love it here at Elon and I am excited to see what is to come in the next three and a half years.

How did it feel putting on the Elon uniform on for your first game?

The moment I put on my uniform, everything felt right. I couldn’t imagine wearing any other colors than maroon and gold. Knowing that my collegiate dreams were coming true, was one of the best feelings I’ve ever had.

What is your biggest goal you hope to achieve here at Elon?

My biggest goal I hope to achieve at Elon is to become the best teammate I can become and to help this team reach new milestones in every aspect of the sport.
