ELON, N.C. – The Elon University men's tennis team rolled past Longwood on Wednesday, winning all of its doubles and singles sets to post a 7-0 result.

With the win, Elon is now 3-3 on the season. Longwood fell to 0-2 with the loss. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• The Phoenix dominated in doubles, quickly picking up wins in the Nos. 1 and 3 spots. Ben Zipay and Nicholas Condos improved to 3-0 as a pair this season with a 6-1 win on Court 3, and the team Oskar Antinheimo and Daniel Martin clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win of their own on Court 1.
• Ahmed Hosni improved his singles record to 3-3 on the season with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Longwood's Lukas Krause in the No. 4 spot. 
• In his first singles appearance of the season, Zipay overcame an early deficit in the first set to pick up a 6-2, 6-0 win on Court 6 over Longwood's Gary Huang. Zipay is now 4-0 this season in doubles and singles. 
• Antinheimo, the reigning Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week, clinched the match for the Phoenix with a 6-1, 6-2 result against Alejandro Uribe on Court 5. The freshman is now 5-1 this season in singles and has the most victories on the team. 
• On Court 1, Daniel Martin secured a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Guillermo Cagigas. The junior is now 4-2 in singles this season. 
• Nicholas Campbell battled to a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Timéo Puech on Court 2. 
• Freshman Veljko Krstic earned his third career singles victory in the No. 6 spot. He is now 3-2 in singles this season. 
• With the win, Elon is now 2-0 this season at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center with both wins coming by 7-0 scores.

 
UP NEXT
The Phoenix returns to the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Saturday for a doubleheader against Shaw and Georgia State. The match against Shaw is scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. start and the contest against Georgia State will start at 2 p.m.
