Elon, N.C. – Elon University and the Elon Athletics Department has announced that a press conference will take place Friday at 11 AM to introduce new Director of Athletics Jennifer Strawley to the Elon community.
 
Strawley was named the 20^th Director of Athletics in school history on July 6 and will begin her active duties on Aug. 1 following the retirement of Dave Blank, who served in the role for 17 years.

After spending 12 years at Miami (Fla.), Strawley will take over a department that has led the CAA in graduation success rate for six consecutive years and has been among the best in the conference in on-field success. Thirteen of Elon's 17 teams placed in the top four of the CAA standings in 2022-23 and the Phoenix won four conference championships. Both the men's soccer and football programs earned at-large bids to the NCAA playoffs a year ago.
