Volleyball Continues Road Swing With CAA Series At Hampton

ELON, N.C. – The Elon University volleyball team (8-7, 2-2 CAA) continues its road swing on October 3-4, as the Phoenix travels to Hampton (0-15, 0-4 CAA). Thursday's match will start at 6:00 p.m. and Friday's match will begin at 3:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

Elon University head volleyball coach Mary Tendler became the program's all-time wins leader with her 307th win, as the Phoenix swept UNCW on Saturday and Sunday.
Cameron Lanier (22), Clara LaRue (16) and Sydney Love (17) led the team in kills this weekend.
Caroline Berlekamp led the team in blocks adding six on Saturday and four on Sunday.
Annabelle Schall led the team in assists with 30 on the weekend while also adding nine digs and an ace.
In Saturday's sweep, Elon outnumbered UNCW across the board in blocks (9-5), aces (6-3), assists (33-28), kills (35-34) and digs (39-38).
On Sunday, Kayla Palmer matched her career-high in aces with two while adding 10 assists.

PHOENIX FACTS

Sydney Love ranks seventh in the conference in kills per set at 3.27 while Cameron Lanier is tenth in the league with 2.95 kills per set.
Annabelle Schall is fourth in the CAA in aces (23) and aces per set (0.42) while also ranking No. 6 in the league in assists per set at 5.64
Caroline Berlekamp leads the team and ranks fourth in the conference in hitting percentage with a .350. She also paces the Phoenix with 45 blocks this season.
Caroline Doyle leads the team with 3.84 digs per set and ranks fifth in the league in digs with 215.
Elon is second in the CAA in aces with 89 and ranks No. 4 in hitting percentage at .204.

THE SERIES

Elon leads the all-time series over the Lady Pirates 13-1.
The Phoenix have won the last five matchups, including last season when they swept Hampton at home in both matchups on October 28-29, 2023.

SCOUTING HAMPTON

Hampton is 0-15 overall this season and 0-4 in CAA play after falling in both matches last weekend at Hofstra.
Last season, the Lady Pirates went 0-21 and were picked to finish 12th in the 2024 CAA Preseason Poll.
Cortni Adams leads the team in blocks with 25 and ranks No. 5 in the league in hitting percentage at .323.
Freshman setter Morgan Warren paces the team with 185 assists averaging 4.63 assists per set.
Madison Clark and Ada Bulgur lead the team with 60-plus total kills this season. Clark also has a team-high 11 service aces.
Ronaldo Pacheco enters his first season as the head coach of the Lady Pirates program.

UP NEXT

The maroon and gold return home to Schar Center on October 12-13 as they welcome the Campbell Camels. Saturday's match is Girl Scout Day and will begin at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday's Camper Reunion Day match will start at 3:00 p.m.
