Sydney Love was named to the CAA All-Second Team, while freshman
Catherine Rucker earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday, November 20.
Love was Elon's leading attacker this season, appearing in all 29 matches with 28 starts. She led the Phoenix in kills (327) and kills per set (3.03), ranking fifth in the CAA for total kills and 10th in kills per set. She was second on the team in blocks with 66 and third on the team in digs with 129.
The Chesapeake, Va., native delivered double-digit kills in 16 matches and recorded three double-doubles. She surpassed the 1,000 career kills milestone in Elon's match against North Carolina A&T and posted a career-high 24 kills in a victory over Gardner-Webb.
Rucker played in 22 matches, making 15 starts, and led the Phoenix with a .330 hitting percentage, averaging 1.29 kills per set.
She paced Elon's first-years in kills, tallying 81 on the season, including a career-high 10 kills in a win over Southern Mississippi.
The Chapel Hill, N.C., native ranked third on the team in blocks with 54, averaging 0.86 blocks per set. She recorded five or more blocks in four matches, including a career-best six blocks against William & Mary.
