Volleyball Hosts William & Mary For Senior Day

ELON, N.C. – The Elon University volleyball team (11-14, 5-9 CAA) returns home for their final home CAA series against William & Mary (8-15, 4-10 CAA) on Saturday and Sunday. Both matches are slated for 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

The Phoenix fell in a pair of matches at North Carolina A&T last weekend. The Aggies defeated Elon in straight sets on Saturday before defeating the Phoenix in a five-set battle on Sunday.
On Saturday, Sydney Love led the team with 11 kills, eclipsing 1,000 total kills in maroon and gold.
Annabelle Schall led the team with 36 assists and four service aces while Caroline Doyle tallied a team-high 31 digs on the weekend.
Lindsey Harris and Kyla Johnson each added nine blocks, with Johnson matching her career-high on Sunday with six to lead the team.
On Sunday, Clara LaRue and Ericka Link recorded their first double-doubles of the season.

PHOENIX FACTS

Annabelle Schall continues to lead the conference in total aces (42) and ranks in the top 25 in the NCAA in the category. She is also seventh in the league in assists per set (5.42).
Caroline Berlekamp is fifth in the conference in hitting percentage at .300 and leads the team in blocks with 90. She ranks ninth in the league averaging 0.98 blocks per set.
Sydney Love ranks No. 5 in the CAA in total kills (291) and No. 10 in kills per set (3.13).
Caroline Doyle leads the team and is sixth in the conference in digs (355) and ranks seventh in digs per set (3.78)
Elon is sixth in the CAA in aces (138) and hitting percentage (.205).

THE SERIES

Elon holds a slight 13-11 advantage in the all-time series against the Tribe.
Last season, Elon fell in both matchups, losing in four sets on Oct. 7, 2023, and straight sets on Oct. 8, 2023.

SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY

William & Mary fell the Hofstra in straight sets in both matchups last weekend on Nov. 1-2.
The Tribe is 8-15 overall this season and 4-10 in conference play.
Last season, the Tribe went 13-15 and were picked to finish ninth in the 2024 CAA Preseason Poll.
Junior middle blocker Olivia Esposito was named the 2024 Preseason All-CAA Volleyball Team. She is second on the team in blocks (81) and ranks sixth in the CAA in blocks per set (1.04).
Maddie Myers has a team-high 272 kills and ranks No. 7 in the conference in kills per set at 3.20.
Amy Schwem and Bella Easton lead the Tribe offense each totaling over 370 assists so far this season.
Lindsay Kahren leads the team in digs (323), digs per set (3.55), and service aces (21).
Ryan Adams is in his 2nd season at the helm of the Tribe volleyball program.

UP NEXT

The maroon and gold close out the regular season at Delaware on Nov. 15-16. Friday and Saturday's matches are set to start at 6 p.m.
