SETTING THE STAGE

• The second season begins Saturday as Elon and Richmond open CAA play inside Rhodes Stadium Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Two of the most competitive programs in the conference, the two programs have split the last six meetings. The winner begins the trek towards a league title as Richmond begins its final season in the conference before moving to the Patriot League for 2025.
• Richmond is ranked No. 23 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and is receiving votes in the Stats Perform Media Poll.
• Richmond enters the contest on a two-game win streak after victories over Charleston Southern and Delaware State, putting up 38 points in each of those games. Elon has lost two straight, both coming against Western Carolina and ETSU.
• Richmond leads the all-time series between the two programs 10-5 but the Spiders won the first seven meetings. Since that time, Elon is 5-3 against Richmond and the two programs have identical 17-7 records in CAA play since the start of the 2021 season.
• Saturday's game will be broadcast regionally on My48 and streamed on FloSports, with Taylor Durham, Khirey Walker and Hannah Bradey on the call.
