ELON – While many Elon University students are at home celebrating Thanksgiving break, both the men's and women's basketball teams will be hitting the court.

Each Monday, Rising Phoenix will preview the week ahead in Elon athletics. Here is a look at each Elon team competing this week.

Men's Basketball
Coming off of a CAA Player of the Week award, graduate forward Chandler Cuthrell continued his strong start to the season with 15 points against Miami last Thursday. Elon will continue road play with a game at Appalachian State on Monday at 6:30 p.m. before returning home to play Mercer on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Women's Basketball
After a week off from the action, the Elon University women's basketball team will be back to compete this upcoming week. On Monday at 7 p.m., the Phoenix will face off against Georgetown in Washington, D.C. The team will take its road trip a step further, traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands to compete in the Paradise Jam tournament. Competing in the Harbor Division, Elon will face Tulane on Thanksgiving Day at 1:30 p.m. Elon will play in game two on Friday, with the opponent and time to be determined.
