At the Plate
• The Phoenix had four hits at the plate with Allee Seering accounting for three of those with her 3-of-3 performance at the plate. It was her fifth multi-hit game of the season.

In the Circle
Anna Dew (0-2) was credited with the loss in the circle after the sophomore pitched 2.1 innings and allowed one earned run with two strikeouts. Taylor Cherry pitched the most innings in relief and had 3.0 scoreless frames with three strikeouts.

The Rundown
• The Wolfpack scored the first run of the game in the opening frame. NC State's Tori Ensley hit a leadoff double and later advanced to third off a wild pitch. She would score on an RBI single as Elon was down 1-0 early.
• Elon got a runner on in its home half of the first. Allee Seering reached on a one-out double and moved to third on ground out. After a hit-by-pitch to Chloe Hatzopoulos gave the Phoenix runners on the corners, NC State induce the final out on a popup to second.
• The Phoenix had another opportunity to plate some runs in the bottom of the third. Greta Hessenthaler reached on a one-out single and moved to second on a single to center by Seering. A fielder's choice and a strikeout left the pair stranded to end the third.
• NC State scored three more runs in the top of the fourth. An RBI double to left center pushed across the first run before another run scored off a Phoenix error. The Wolfpack added their third run off a fielder's choice to take a 4-0 advantage.
• Elon would be held to only one hit for the remainder of the game, which came off the bat of Seering in the bottom of the sixth. The Phoenix could not add to it as the Wolfpack took the 4-0 victory.
