CHARLESTON, S.C. – Naomi Person made seven saves Sunday in a shutout effort as the Elon women's soccer team (9-3-5, 4-2-3 CAA) closed its regular season with a 0-0 tie against College of Charleston (5-9-4, 2-5-2 CAA) at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point.
Person's seven stops matched her career best, which she set in her last start against Monmouth. It was the goalkeeper's second shutout in CAA play this season.
This was Elon's second scoreless tie of the season and first in conference play. The Phoenix finished the regular season on a four-match CAA unbeaten streak.
How It Happened

- Elon took the first two shots of the second half with Talia Feigin and Lauren McCauley forcing Mia Vrataric to make saves for the Cougars.
- McCauley took another shot in the 73rd minute that was turned away by Vrataric.
- Person made her biggest stop of the contest in the 81st minute, diving across the goal line to save a shot from Emma Stankunas.
