Elon Athletics Sets Dates For Night Of The Phoenix, Rescheduled Hall Of Fame Induction

Events Will Be Hosted On Back-To-Back Days In September

ELON – Elon Athletics will host a marquee weekend in September centered around two signature events: the 19th annual Night of the Phoenix, presented by Samet, on Friday, Sept. 18, and the 2025-26 Elon Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. ET on Friday for the Night of the Phoenix, the department's premier fundraising event that celebrates and supports Elon student-athletes. The event will also include recognition of Elon's 2025-26 championship teams.

The weekend continues Saturday with the Elon Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony at 10 a.m. ET in Alumni Gym. Originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, the induction ceremony was postponed due to inclement weather.

This 2025-26 Hall of Fame class features six standout Phoenix: Chase Austin (baseball), Caitlin Beeler (cross country/track & field), Nicole Dennion (women's soccer), Clint Irwin (men's soccer), Jordan Johnston (women's tennis) and Mike Kennedy (baseball).

The weekend of celebration coincides with a full slate of Elon Athletics home events. The Phoenix men's soccer team will host Charleston at noon ET at Rudd Field, along with an alumni gathering that evening. Elon football follows with a 6 p.m. ET kickoff against Sacred Heart at Rhodes Stadium, before volleyball closes out the day hosting Charleston at 8 p.m. ET at Schar Center.

Sunday's schedule features another matchup between volleyball and Charleston at 3 p.m. ET at Schar Center, while women's soccer hosts Campbell at 7 p.m. ET at Rudd Field.

Additional details regarding both the Night of the Phoenix and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be announced at a later date.
