Four Elon Programs Earn CAA Team Academic Excellence Awards

Phoenix Ties For Second-Most Award Recipients In Conference

RICHMOND, Va. – Four Elon programs earned Coastal Athletic Association Team Academic Excellence Awards for the 2025-26 academic year, the league announced Tuesday.

Elon men's cross country, women's golf, women's tennis and volleyball were recognized for posting the highest collective team grade point average in their respective CAA-sponsored sports. Women's tennis shared the honor with Hofstra.

Elon's four recipients tied Drexel for the second-most among CAA institutions. Hofstra led the conference with six award-winning programs.

The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes the institution with the highest collective GPA in each of the CAA's 22 sponsored sports. Team GPAs are calculated using each student-athlete who appeared on an institution's roster through the final day of the team's respective championship season during the 2025-26 academic year.

Eight CAA institutions had at least one program recognized, while the award recipient in 19 of the conference's 22 sports recorded a team GPA of 3.5 or higher.
