Fall 2007: Went 1-2 in singles play ... Posted an overall doubles record of 3-2, including a trip to the finals of the UNC Invitational B doubles flight with teammate Chase Helpingstine ... Injury kept him out for most of the fall season ... Teamed with Damon Gooch, Schermerhorn has been ranked nationally as high as No. 47 in doubles by the ITA.

2006-07: Finished 18-4 (8-1 SoCon) at the No. 3 singles position in the spring ... Defeated Ivan Cressoni of then-No. 37 South Carolina 7-6, 6-0 in singles action ... Picked up a big SoCon singles win over then-No. 55 Furman’s Andy Sobczyk ... Went 18-3 (7-1 SoCon) at No. 1 doubles with partner Damon Gooch, going 2-1 versus nationally-ranked opponents ... Opened the season with an 8-2 doubles victory over then-No. 26 Wake Forest’s Cory Parr and Charles Sartor ... The pair earned First Team All-Southern Conference accolades in doubles play and achieved a No. 75 national doubles ranking.
