Anderson on Milian: Anna had a great fall and is coming into the spring with a lot of confidence. She is a great force for us at the top of our lineup and is a very talented and team-oriented player.
Fall 2009: Ranked 27th in the Carolina Region, the first-ever Elon player to earn a Division I regional ranking • earned third place in the Flight A singles bracket at the Hokie Invitational after winning three singles matches • posted a 2-1 singles mark at the Elon Fall Invitational • defeated CofC’s Caroline Newman in the main draw of the ITA Regionals.
2008-09: Had another outstanding season, earning first-team all-conference honors after posting a 7-3 SoCon singles record at the No. 1 position • won 13 matches in straight sets • helped Elon to win in the SoCon Tournament with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Izabella Glinksa of Western Carolina • competed with Paige Kensrue at No. 1 doubles, earned second-team All-SoCon recognition • named SoCon Player of the Week after winning at the top singles and doubles position against Gardner-Webb • finished in second place at the Elon Fall Invitational in singles • team MVP.
2007-08: Made an immediate impact upon joining the team in January • earned a 19-4 overall record and an 8-1 mark in conference singles play, while playing most of her matches as the No. 2 position • posted a doubles record of 17-7 overall and 7-2 in the conference, primarily partnered with Deanna Bailey • team MVP • first-ever Elon player to be honored first-team All-Southern Conference player in singles and doubles • SoCon Athlete of the Month for January.
Prep: Came to Elon with a plethora of international experience • ranked among the top eight players in Spain in the U16 age group • won the state tournament three times.
