Career Summary
Collin Luther appeared in 83 games and made four starts during his career in the maroon and gold. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native finished his career scoring 87 points, grabbing 104 rebounds, passing 33 assists and notching 17 steals. Luther was also a scholar-athlete, earning CAA Commissioner’s Academic Awards throughout his career.

2017-18 (Senior): Played in 15 games and started in three during his senior season, averaging around five minutes per contest • Made starts at Delaware (Feb. 17), at College of Charleston (Feb. 22) and against Northeastern (Feb. 24) • Scored a season-high two points three times against No. 1 Duke (Nov. 10), William Peace (Nov. 11), and Delaware (Feb. 17) • Recorded career-highs of seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals at Delaware (Feb. 17), while playing a season-high 25 minutes against the Blue Hens • Completed the 2017-18 campaign with 15 rebounds, six points, six assists and three steals.

2016-17 (Junior): Appeared in 14 games averaging around four minutes per contest • Made his first-career start at Radford (Dec. 10) and played a season-high nine minutes • Scored a season-high two points against Central Penn (Dec. 28) and College of Charleston (Dec. 31) • Finished a four points, four rebounds and three assists during the season.

2015-16 (Sophomore): Named a team captain • Appeared in 22 games averaging six minutes per contest • Scored a season-high four points against Wesley College (Dec. 13) • Played a season-high 12 minutes at Towson on Feb. 20 • Finished a 23 total rebounds during the season • Recipient of the 2015-16 CAA Commissioner's Academic Award.

2014-15 (Freshman): Played in 32 games as a true freshman • Averaged 12.2 minutes per contest • Sunk three triples and scored a career-high 11 points in Elon’s CAA Tournament overtime win against Towson on March 6 • Hauled down a season-high eight boards against Drexel on Feb. 5 • Played a season-high 28 minutes at William & Mary on Feb. 11 • Recipient of the 2014-15 CAA Commissioner's Academic Award.

High School: Three-time first-team all-section honoree at Hampton under the direction of head coach Joe Lafko • Was a three-year team captain • Averaged 14 points, six rebounds and six assists as a senior, when he became a member of Hampton's 1,000-point club • Helped Hampton to a sectional championship and a state semifinal appearance during his tenure • Named to the Pittsburgh Tribune's "Terrific 10" in 2014 • Was also a standout wide receiver on Hampton's football team.

Fun Facts: His twin brother Ryan Luther plays for the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team • Cousin, Mike Shanahan, is currently the wide receiver's coach at Elon and played wide receiver at Pitt (2009-12) and with the New York Jets in 2013 • The Luthers became just the second family in WPIAL history to have four siblings score over 1,000 career points: Ryan (1,968), Collin (1,033), older brother Bill, Jr., and sister Jodie.
