Biography

Personal: Full name is Quade Hampton Lukes • Born on Sept. 30, 1998 • The son of Ken and Andrea Lukes • His father Ken played lacrosse at Duke.

Honors & Awards
• 2017-18 All-CAA First Team 

2019-20 (Junior): Played in six tournaments with an average score of 72.67 and a +1.33 score vs. par • Had 14-of-18 round count towards the team score • Recorded four rounds in the 60s, including a six-under par 65 in round two of the Phoenix Invitational. It marks both a career-low round and a career low score-to-par • The round of 65 also tied for second on the program's low 18-holes score list. Additionally, with a two-under 69 in the opening round, his combined 134 ties for second in the record book on the low 36-hole score list • Ended with a four-under 209 and was the top finished for the Phoenix as he T-14th • The effort helped the maroon and gold to a fourth-place finish at Alamance Country Club • Opened the fall at the Golfweek Program Challenge, where he T-27th with a 214 (+4) • Started off the tournament on Pawleys Island, S.C. with a one-under 69 • T-18th at the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate with a three-under 213 • Followed with a six-over 219 to T-2nd at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.

2018-19 (Sophomore): Competed in 10 tournaments during his sophomore season with an average score of 74.86 • 24 of his 29 rounds counted towards the team's overall score T-15th at the River Run Collegiate with a plus-two 218. He entered the final round T-19th, moved up four spots with a one-under 71, and recorded Elon's lone eagle at the Collegiate • Lukes T-23rd at the Loyola Intercollegiate, helping the Phoenix place second out of 17 teams. He led the team on Day One with a three-under 69 and ended up with a two-over 218 • Ended the year at the CAA Conference Championship, where he finished T-19th at 223 (+10).

2017-18 (Freshman): Was named to the 2017-18 All-CAA First Team in his first season with the Phoenix • Posted a team-best 72.10 stroke average over 21 rounds of action, which was the lowest scoring average for a single season in the program's Division I era  His stroke average was the lowest among CAA freshmen and tied for the second-lowest total in the league this year • Score versus par (0.81) ranks second in the program's single-season record books  Had his season cut short due to an injury  Earned two top-5 and five top-15 finishes while only placing outside of the top-20 once in the seven tournaments he competed 17 of his 18 rounds counted toward the team's overall score • Made his collegiate debut and earned his first-career top-3 finish at the Patriot Intercollegiate hosted by George Mason, placing T-3rd • Tabbed his second top-5 finish of the season with a T-5th finish at the Battle at Stono Ferry hosted by College of Charleston • Recorded a season best 36-hole low of 140 at the Battle at Stono Ferry and carded his season-low round of 67 on the second day • Earned top-15 finishes at the Hummingbird Intercollegiate, UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate and the Pinehurst Intercollegiate • Earned a T-20th finish at the Camden Collegiate Classic hosted by South Carolina.

Before Elon: Was a two-year team captain during the 2015 and 2016 seasons at Durham Academy • Earned a 2016 TISAC All-Conference selection, collected the Coaches' Award in 2015 and was named the team MVP in 2016 • Earned three top-15 finishes on the junior tour, finishing fifth at the Davis Love III Junior Open, 12th at the Golf Performance Center Junior Championship and tied for 13th at the E-Z-GO Vaughan Taylor Championship • Also finished fifth individually and lead Durham Academy to a first-place finish at the Palmetto High School Championships • He also tied for 18th while competing at the Wells Fargo Junior Classic.
