Biography

2009-10: Ranked fourth in the conference with 4.2 apg • Dished off 134 assists to rank 10th on the Elon single-season list • Ranks fourth all-time at Elon with 340 career assists • Ranks seventh in school history with 118 career treys • Best free-throw shooter on the team and third-best in the SoCon at 82.2 percent • Netted 10+ points in 10 of final 11 games • Scored in double figures 19 times, including career-high performances of 25 points at Navy (1/2) and against Chattanooga (1/23) • Nailed five three-pointers for 20 points while dishing off nine assists in Elon’s win at Chattanooga (12/5) • Registered first career double-double with 11 points and a personal-best 11 assists at NC State (12/17) • Sunk 5-of-6 from long range, scoring 25 points and adding six assists against Navy (1/2) • Swished 14-of-17 free throws to lead Elon to victory against Gardner-Webb in the ESPNU BracketBusters (2/20) • Contributed 16 points, six rebounds and nine assists against Davidson (2/27) • Tallied 15 points and passed for four assists in Elon’s SoCon Tournament victory over Davidson (3/5).

2008-09:
Earned the starting nod in 16 of the 31 games he played • Knocked down a team-best 47 three-pointers while shooting 40.2 percent from long range • Led the SoCon and was 26th in the country with a 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio • Second in the league with 4.0 assists per game • Dished out a season-high 10 helpers to lead Elon to victory against Lipscomb (12/22) • Contributed nine assists and eight points in a win over Western Carolina (2/19) • Scored in double-figures on nine occasions, including a season-best 18 points against eventual SoCon Tourney champ Chattanooga (3/7) • Hit 6-of-8 from downtown against Chattanooga (3/7) • Went 4-of-5 from three-point territory at UNC Greensboro (2/28) • Notched a season-best four steals against Southern Virginia (11/18) and The Citadel (1/3).

2007-08:
Saw time in all 33 games, earning one start • Averaged 7.2 points and 2.4 rebounds as a true freshman • Was second on the team with 83 assists • Shot 34.6 percent from three-point range • Scored a season-high 19 points at Georgia (11/20) • Netted 11 points in his collegiate debut at Virginia Tech (11/9) • Grabbed a career-best eight rebounds and scored 18 points vs. Tusculum (12/5) • Passed for six assists against SoCon rival Davidson (1/9) • Went 6-for-6 from the line and 5-of-10 from the field while scoring 17 points in a win versus league foe Western Carolina (11/27) • Had at least one assist in 29 games • Swiped a season-high of three steals against Western Carolina (11/27) and at College of Charleston (1/5).

Prep Career:
A four-year starter at George Washington High School where he finished his career as the school’s all-time leading scorer • Three-year first-team All-Mountain State Athletic Conference honoree • Earned first-team all-state honors in 2006 • Averaged 20 points, six assists and five rebounds a game as a senior on coach Rick Greene’s squad • Guided his team to the Mountain State Athletic Conference championship in 2005 and 2006 and helped his team finish as the state runner-up in 2006 • Spent the next season playing for coach Kevin Keatts at Hargrave Military Academy • Led the team in assists and averaged nine points an outing •  Hargrave reached a national ranking as high as fourth during the 2006-07 season.
