2007: Enters the fall as the team’s starting free safety...A bright player who has excellent speed and athleticism.
2006: Did not play after transferring from Duke University.
2005: Played in all 11 games as a safety at Duke...Collected 15 tackles, including 12 solo stops.
2004: Red-shirted.
Prep: Two-year letterman at Ragsdale High School...Was listed as the 74th top safety prospect in the country by TheInsiders.com...Spent time on special teams and as a wide receiver for coach Tommy Norwood’s squad, catching 14 passes for 166 yards and five touchdowns to go with 26 total tackles in just four contests during his injury-shortened senior season in 2003...As a junior in 2002, Platt recorded 31 total tackles, one interception and seven pass deflections...Returned three kicks for touchdowns that season...Helped Ragsdale to an 11-1 ledger with a state playoff berth in 2002 and a 10-3 campaign with a quarterfinal appearance in state playoff action in 2003...Aalso starred in basketball and track and field...Earned all-conference accolades in track and field as Ragsdale claimed conference and region championships.
