Hayden Cox

Hayden Cox begins his first season as a volunteer assistant cross country and distance coach for the Elon University cross country and track and field programs.
 
Prior to Elon, Cox spent time serving as the Running Camp Counselor at his alma mater at Furman while also serving as the volunteer head coach for the Furman Running Club. He also spent time as an assistant coach at Chattahoochee High School under former Georgia high school Coach of the Year Mike Morris.
 
Cox spent four seasons as a member of the Paladin cross country and track and field programs from 2014-18. While at Furman, he helped the cross country program to four straight Southern Conference championships. He also served as the vice president of the Furman Running Club. Cox has also served as a race organizer for the "Where There's a Will, There's a Way 5K", helping over 1,500 participants annually while raising over $100k for charity.  
 
Cox graduated from Furman in 2018 as a double major in English and psychology.
