Nick Sakiewicz

The 2018 season marks Nick Sakiewicz’s first year as an assistant coach at Elon.
 
Prior to joining the Phoenix men’s soccer program, Sakiewicz was an assistant coach at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. for one season.
 
Throughout his career, Sakiewicz has worked in four levels of college soccer (NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA). He also served as a scout for Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Chicago Fire, one of the many professional sides for which he has worked. A December 2014 graduate of West Chester University (Pa.), Sakiewicz played two seasons with the NCAA Division II Rams. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Division III Rosemont College while finishing his degree at West Chester.
 
Before joining the men’s soccer staff at Guilford, Sakiewicz assisted the Johnson & Wales University men’s soccer team, which finished 9-7-5 and was an AII Conference finalist in 2016. He served as the director of men’s soccer operations for Division I Villanova University the preceding season. There he specialized in video breakdowns of matches, as well as scouting.
 
Sakiewicz’s experience professional working experience includes providing scouting reports and video breakdowns for the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer (MLS) in the summer of 2015. He also did scouting and video analysis for the Harrisburg City Islanders. As a scout for the Fire, he attended and analyzed the 2017 MLS Draft and compiled scouting reports on opponents.
 
Sakiewicz is the son of Nick Sakiewicz Sr. and Isabel Sakiewicz and the brother of Max Sakiewicz. His family resides in Glenn Mills, Pa.
