Taylor Saxe was a four-year starter and team captain for Elon from 2003-06 and helped the Phoenix achieve its first-ever NCAA Division I national ranking. A two-time All-Southern Conference honoree, Saxe recorded 16 career shutouts and stopped 306 shots while also earning 2005 NSCAA All-South Region accolades.
In 2006, Saxe spent the summer playing for the Carolina Dynamo and posted a 0.62 GAA. The team won the national PDL title, going 14-0-2. The squad advanced to the quarterfinals of the Open Cup before falling to the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer.
Saxe also serves as the executive director of the Burlington Soccer Club and is an assistant coach for the North Carolina ODP team.
A 2007 Elon graduate, Saxe earned his degree in business administration – marketing and accounting. He holds a U.S. Soccer Federation “C” Coaching License.
