Adrian Baluyot is starting his second year as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Men’s Tennis Team at Elon.

Baluyot is a USTA High Performance Coach and PTR Certified Professional – certified at the Master’s level in High Performance training. Throughout his coaching career he has had the opportunity to work with some of the best juniors in the US. Many of these players have achieved high national and sectional rankings and have gone on to play some of the highest junior level tournaments in the country, such as National Clay Courts and Kalamazoo National Hard Courts.

Adrian is from Adelaide, Australia where he played his entire junior career there. At the end of 2000, he was ranked inside the top 30 in Australia for 18 and under. In 2003, he moved to the US to attend Barton College in Wilson, NC. While attending Barton, Adrian played all four years for the nationally ranked team and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fitness Management.

Upon graduating, he went to work for the John Newcombe Tennis Academy in Texas. While there, he worked with highly ranked juniors in the Academy Program. Adrian later returned to NC and worked as the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s team at Barton College.

Throughout his career, Adrian has worked as the Head Tennis Professional at Lake Wilson Tennis Club, a Tennis Professional in both the Junior Development Program at Mercy Healthplex in Cincinnati, OH, and the High Performance Junior Program at Cary Tennis Park. Currently Adrian is the Head Tennis Professional at Chapel Hill Country Club.
