Jonathan Lynch

Jonathan Lynch enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Elon University softball program in 2024.

Lynch joins the Phoenix after spending time as an assistant coach at NAIA program Central Methodist since 2020. Lynch worked with the pitchers and outfielders at Central Methodist, helping coach several First Team All-Conference pitchers in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Prior to Central Methodist, Lynch spent time as a student assistant and team manager at the University of Missouri.
 
On the diamond, Lynch is a heralded fastpitch player. He has been a member of the US Men's National Team and has also played professionally for the New York Swashbucklers in Staten Island, N.Y., and the Bloomington Stix in Bloomington, Ind. While playing internationally, Lynch has been named an All-World performer three times. In 2019, Lynch claimed a silver medal as Team USA went 5-3 at the Pan American Games in Peru. 
 
Prior to making the transition to fastpitch, Lynch spent two years playing baseball at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark.
