Prep: Scored 29 goals as a senior at North Davidson and set nearly every scoring record... Was named the Davidson County Player of the Year as a senior... Was selected to play in the annual East-West Girls All-Star Game as a senior... Helped North Davidson to a 14-6-1 record and an NCHSAA playoff berth in 2010... Played for Trinadad & Tobago's U-17 squad from 2008-10, earning 12 caps... A member of the Piedmont Soccer Alliance... Helped her club team to a pair of state cup titles and a final four and semifinals appearance.

Personal: Full name is Shakirah Salandy... Born August 18, 1993... The daugher of Andy and Eulith Salandy... Father, Andy, was a standout men's soccer player at Appalachian State from 1987-90 and will be inducted into the ASU Athletics Hall of Fame in September, 2012.
