Biography

Anderson on Wahl: Hayley’s competitive spirit and fight on the court are very inspirational to her teammates. She is very enthusiastic about her senior year and finishing her Elon career very strong.

Fall 2009: Teamed with Lauren Sessoms for two doubles victories at the Hokie Invitational.

2008-09: Won her final three singles matches in straight sets, en route to a 7-2 dual record primarily at No. 6 • pulled out a 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4 victory over her opponent from UNC Wilmington • recorded two SoCon doubles victories and an overall mark of 5-4 in dual action • earned academic All-SoCon honors.

2007-08: Competed primarily at No. 6, earning a singles record of 10-13 overall and 2-7 in the SoCon • Posted a doubles record of 13-12 overall and 4-5 in conference play, partnering mainly with Jenn Tucci • ITA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-SoCon selection • notched a record of 4-4 in fall singles and 3-3 in fall doubles competition.

2006-07: Joined squad in January • achieved a singles record of 7-9 competing at the No. 5 spot • recorded a 10-9 doubles mark, pairing mainly with Kelley Moore • earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2006-2007 academic year.

Prep: Ranked No. 1 for the Gauteng East Province for five years • seven-time title winner of the Gauteng East Championship • earned a ranking of 11th in the under-18 division in South Africa in 2006 • served as the captain of her high school team • helped team in winning the local super school league in 2006 while coming in second in the province.

Personal: Major is biology on a pre-med track • daughter of Leslie and Rosemary Wahl • born June 19, 1988.
