Allie Gretkowski joined the Elon women’s tennis team staff in June 2025.
Before coming to Elon, Gretkowski competed at the Division I level at both South Carolina and Louisville. During her time at South Carolina, she played as high as the No. 3 singles spot and found significant success in doubles where she ranked as high as No. 37, going a perfect 12-0 at the No. 3 position. As a redshirt senior at Louisville, Gretkowski posted a 13-5 singles record with key wins over ACC opponents such as Florida State, Clemson, and Syracuse. She closed the season on a four-match win streak and went 11-9 in doubles—including a 6-4 mark with partner Alice Otis, highlighted by victories over Virginia Tech and Florida State.
Gretkowski was regarded as the No. 1 recruit in South Carolina by TennisRecruiting.net and was ranked No. 12 nationally while attending South Carolina Connections Academy. She was named the South Carolina USTA Player of the Year in 2017 and won the doubles championship at the prestigious Eddie Herr ITF Championships in 2018. Additionally, she captured ITF doubles titles in Atlanta in back-to-back years (2018–2019), was a doubles finalist in the 16s at the 2018 Orange Bowl, and reached the finals in the 18s division at the 2018 USTA Winter Nationals. Gretkowski also reached the singles final at a J4 ITF event in Lexington, S.C., in November 2019 and was a semifinalist at a J3 event earlier that year in San Jose, Calif.
Gretkowski graduated from Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration
