Carley Davis begins her first season as a member of the Elon Softball coaching staff after being appointed to head coach Kathy Bocock's staff in June of 2024 after the conclusion of her Phoenix career.
"We are very excited to have Carley remain a member of our Elon softball family," said Bocock. "She is someone that understands and knows the game and I am excited to see her start her coaching career with us. We know she will bring a valuable presence to our team as a former player and will be a great fit for our coaching staff and the direction we are going. She is also very relatable to our players and recruits."
Davis was a starter behind the plate during her entire career at Elon. She appeared in 197 career games with 194 starts for the maroon and gold and was a two-time All-CAA Second Team selection. A native of Bridgewater, Va., Davis finished her career as Elon's all-time Division I leader in runners caught stealing with 37. In her final season in 2024, Davis hit a career-best .312 with four homers and 24 RBI.
