Corson Wertz joined the Elon University Facilities and Event Management staff in August of 2022. Wertz was elevated to the Associate Director of Event Management and Facilities in August of 2025.

Wertz assists with all aspects of event operations. He helps to oversee the planning and execution of events and the management of athletics facilities, which includes the supervision of game day staff and to ensure all operational needs are met. In his role, he helps coordinate event management for home contests and facility usage, monitors all athletics facilities for any repairs or maintenance, and assists game day officials.

Wertz earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management, business analytics and marketing from Ohio in May of 2021. He graduated with a master's degree in sport administration from Mississippi State in May of 2023.

As a graduate student at Mississippi State University, he worked as a scholarship intern with the game operations department. His roles included liaison for visiting team for baseball and visiting team and umpires for softball along with set up and breakdown for all sports. Previous experiences include time as a student worker at Ohio University where he worked as game day support for football and other sports in the ticket office.
