Jamella Banks came to Elon in August 2016. Banks serves as an academic coordinator for athletics where she monitors and provides resources for the academic success of student-athletes.
Prior to her role as academic coordinator, Banks served as an academic assistant for athletics at Elon.
Originally from Athens, Ga., Banks earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from the University of Florida where she was involved in athletics as a career development intern, football recruiting volunteer and baseball guest services leader. Banks is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from Elon.
