Sean Halloran begins his third season on the Elon men's basketball staff and his first as the Director of Operations/Assistant Coach in 2025-26. Halloran spent his first two seasons as the Director of Operations for the Phoenix.
Halloran finished his basketball playing career at Elon in 2022-23. In his lone season with the Phoenix as a fifth-year graduate student, he led the maroon and gold in scoring at 13 points per game while also dishing out a team-high 127 assists. The Orlando, Fla., native also knocked down nearly 92 percent of his free throws while scoring in double figures a team-best 26 times.
Halloran also tied a couple of Elon Division I school records for the program. He had 56 steals on the season, tying Scottie Rice’s program mark that was originally set during the 2002-03 campaign. Halloran also dished out 11 assists versus Johnson and Wales, matching the Phoenix’s single-game best.
Prior to Elon, Halloran was a four-year standout at Belmont Abbey, where he finished as the all-time leader in assists with 502 and helped lead the Crusaders to back-to-back Conference Carolinas Tournament Championships and three straight NCAA tournament appearances. A two-time honoree on the Conference Carolinas Second Team, he rounded out his senior campaign in 2021-22 with career-highs in scoring (14.4 ppg) and rebounding (3.4 rpg), adding 4.4 apg and 1.5 spg to his totals. In his career, Halloran racked up 1,422 points, putting him in the top-20 in Belmont Abbey's program history, adding 324 rebounds along the way.
Halloran graduated with his master’s degree at Elon in science and business analytics and earned his bachelor’s in sport management from Belmont Abbey in 2022.
