Shelbie Davenport enters her first season as an Assistant Coach on the Elon women's basketball staff in 2026-27 and is in her fourth season overall with the program.

Davenport served as Director of Player Development and Recruiting Operations for three seasons dating back to September 2023.

Davenport obtained her bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration as well as a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Prior to Elon, Davenport worked as an assistant coach at North Greenville University for one season.

Before joining North Greenville’s staff, Davenport played collegiately at Clemson University for one year, where she served as her team's SAAC representative before finishing her eligibility at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, playing under Hall of Fame coach Jim Foster. While at UTC, she won two Southern Conference Championships and attended the NCAA tournament back-to-back years.
