Zoe Mooney joined Elon University Athletics in October 2022, as the Assistant Director of Marketing.
Mooney assists in the implementation of marketing and fan engagement initiatives for all of Elon’s 17 Division 1 sports.
Prior to her role at Elon, Mooney served as the Marketing & Promotions Graduate Assistant for Valdosta State University’s Athletic Department, overseeing all marketing efforts for their 14 Division 2 sports. This included in-game promotions, PA scripts, video board elements, music, and fan experience content. She also managed corporate sponsorship responsibilities such as activations, renewals, and special events.
Additionally, Mooney gained experience through internships with the University of North Florida, Flagler College, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Player’s Championship.
Mooney was a student-athlete at Flagler College on the softball team for four years, earning a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration in 2021. She then went on to receive her Master’s in Business Administration from Valdosta State University in 2023.
